About Maurice McCabe
My Story: I’ve spent 20 years building the systems that make things actually work—from scalable SaaS platforms and real-time data pipelines to voice agents running in production environments. My fingerprints are on products you've likely used, though most of my proudest work lives behind the curtain, quietly orchestrating millions of daily interactions.
Long before “agentic AI” was trending, I was architecting backend systems that powered mobile ad delivery, IoT messaging, and digital experiences across Fortune 500s and startups alike. But something always bothered me: the friction between humans and machines. Interfaces were clunky. Processes too rigid. Everyone was drowning in dashboards.
Then came the voice revolution.
The moment I saw the potential of large language models and real-time voice synthesis, it clicked: we didn’t need more screens—we needed fewer. We needed intelligent voice agents that could do the work, not just help you click through it faster.
In October 2024, I met Dustin Jensen—an operator with a sixth sense for business bottlenecks—and we realized we’d been solving the same problem from two ends. He was in the trenches identifying high-friction workflows; I had been building the tools to dissolve them. Together, we launched AIA Systems, “The AI Factory.”
Right around that time, the release of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) changed everything. For the first time, voice agents could connect to live databases, APIs, and tools in real time—no duct-tape integrations, no brittle workarounds.
