Android Application Security Testing with Marko Belzetski

About this episode

Do you need to make sure your android applications are secure? In this episode, we'll be talking with Marko Belzetski all about Android Application Security Testing. Discover what it means to be a penetration tester of Web and Android applications, the differences between Android and iOS, and why the OWASP ASVS and MASVS are some of the most useful resources for both penetration testers and developers alike.

Marko has a diploma in professional higher education in IT systems development from Tallinn Technical University. His thesis on the subject of Android IPCs was awarded the best thesis in the BSc category of his graduation year. He also holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Northwood University, which he graduated magna cum laude.

The demonstration of backdooring any Android application from the Play Store Note about the demonstration: the application was chosen at random and the demonstration is in no way an assessment of the security of the application used. There are some slides to go along with that demonstration but without context or the accompanying presentation they don't provide much information.
