About Dave Westerveld

Dave Westerveld

Dave Westerveld is an experienced software tester who has been working in the industry professionally for over 13 years. He has worked on scientific computing software that ran advanced mathematical calculations that could scale up to compute across thousand of CPUs in parallel and has also been involved in various automated and manual testing initiatives and currently works at D2L which is one of the leading online learning platforms. As you can imagine with covid-19, online learning platforms have seen massive increases in load.

Dave loves learning new things about testing and is always trying to grow his skills. One of his favorite ways to do that is by teaching others. He shares some of his learnings on his blog (https://offbeattesting.com/blog/). He has also created a number of different software testing-related courses including a course on getting started with performance testing. The world of software testing is changing and Dave wants to do everything he can to help testers stay up to date with their skills so that they can continue to help with producing good quality software.

On the personal front, he lives in Ontario, Canada, and has a wife and 3 kids.
