From Waterfall to Agile approaches, Commercial to Open Source Automation tools and Manual to Automation Testing he has been through the wars of Software Delivery. He is the co-founder of Cape Town Automation User group and co-organizer of Cape Town Testing Meetup back in his home country of South Africa.
In his spare time he loves exploring the great outdoors, taking on the world playing online video games , major football fan, adopting the title of technological husband and playing super dad to 2 toddlers!

I would like to share how I approached a new large scale project (migrating from an older enterprise system). My challenge to myself was to not repeat past Automation mistakes by tackling the different levels of Automation from the get go. I have tried to fit my automation into both the Automation pyramid and the Agile Quadrants models. I would like to show automation using multiple tools from the API level-both functional and contract type API Automation using Javascript, Smoke UI testing using Nightwatchjs. E2E Business process type regression UI automation using UFT, Database migration automation testing using UFT and finally Performance testing using jMeter.
