Quotes & Insights from this Test Talk

  • I’m mostly recommending physical devices to test your apps on because that’s the environment where the app will used later on by the customers
  • Performance testing with mobile is not that easy because typically we have to do it three steps …
  • With mobile testing start simple, keep it simple, make short steps and go from there and try everything out
  • Many of the mobile user cases can’t be automated and that’s why I came up with the idea of the Mobile Test Pyramid.
  • There are so many really cool open source products out there so there’s, from my point of view currently, no need to buy a test automation tool for all the devices.
  • Get as many of these apps as possible installed on these devices and try those apps out, shaking your device and see how others are implementing apps and see what kind of different usability issues are there.
